Natural History Museum

Located in Saadiyat Cultural District, the Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi will feature some of the rarest natural history specimens ever found on planet Earth.

The Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi will be a scientific research and teaching institution, as well as an educational resource for learning about the evolving story of our planet, aiming to ignite a life-long passion for the natural world in visitors of all ages.

Visitors will travel on a journey through time and space, from the beginning of the universe to a thought-provoking perspective into our Earth’s future. A highlight of the new museum’s collection will be the world-famous skeleton of ‘Stan’, the Tyrannosaurus rex, the Murchison Meteorite specimen, and other spectacular collections as part of its compelling curatorial vision, as well as fascinating experiences which will be created by a dedicated team in Abu Dhabi.

The Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi is due to be completed at the end of 2025.

Jubail Marina

It’s set to become the beating heart of Jubail Island…

Jubail Marina is set to be Abu Dhabi's new luxurious waterfront destination. Jubail Island is already one of Abu Dhabi’s most idyllic islands, thanks to its lush, stretching mangroves. Situated on Jubail Island, which is nestled between Saadiyat Island and Yas Island, this marina will consist of a yacht club, 66 berths, a broad walk, restaurants and cafes, and a stunning view of the Arabian Gulf. It is part of the Marfa Al Jubail district, which is set to be completed in October. However, other major projects, including the yacht club, are expected to be completed by 2024.

Abrahamic Family House

Situated on Saadiyat Island, Abrahamic Family House is a new complex that will serve as a venue for interfaith dialogues and co-operations. It will consist of a mosque, a church, and a synagogue, each sharing the same garden compound symbolizing unity amongst the three Abrahamic religions, i.e., Islam, Christianity, and Judaism. Simultaneously, the cubic structures will have differentiating designs reflecting each religion's characteristics. The project is set to be completed by this year.

The Abrahamic Family House aims to serve as a community for inter-religious dialogue and exchange and be a physical manifestation of the Document on Human Fraternity. It will provide learning resources as well as spaces for worship.

The Abrahamic Family House will host a variety of programming and events—from daily religious services to international summits. Currently, under construction, the project’s anticipated completion date is in 2022.

Snow Abu Dhabi

With Snow Abu Dhabi, families will be able to explore a winter wonderland without needing to leave the country. Taking up an area of 10,000 square feet, this highly anticipated venue at Reem Mall promises loads of rides and attractions, including two large slides, 17 rides, and dining areas.

Snow Abu Dhabi, a much-anticipated attraction, is set to open in Reem Mall. The snow park will have multiple zones with 13 different rides. It will also feature Blizzard’s Bazaar, a themed retail outlet where visitors can buy winter clothing and choose from an avalanche of souvenirs.

Another attraction at this enchanted-forest-themed wonderland is Snowflake Garden, an expansive snowy play area where visitors can build snowmen, enjoy ice labyrinths, and more. Visitor’s can also look forward to Flurries’ Mountain where they’ll be able to climb up for a great view of Snow Park’s central feature – The Enchanted Tree.

SEAWORLD Abu Dhabi

SeaWorld Abu Dhabi (SWAD) is a world-class first of its kind marine life themed park on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. This next generation SeaWorld Abu Dhabi will include the UAE’s first dedicated marine life research, rescue, rehabilitation and return center with world class facilities and resources for the care and conservation of local marine life. The marine life themed park will be the frst SeaWorld developed without orcas and will integrate up close animal experiences, mega attractions, a world class aquarium, bringing the latest technology in visitor engagement.

The wait is about to come to an end… Soon residents of Abu Dhabi will be able to experience marine life like never before! The first-of-its-kind theme park in the capital has been generating buzz for quite a while now. And why would it not be?

It is expected to become the world’s largest marine life aquarium featuring more than 68,000 animals! Apart from a huge aquarium, SeaWorld Abu Dhabi would offer thrilling rides, animal experiences and rehabilitation, and a whole lot of fun for the entire family. It is slated to open in 2022.

GUGGENHEIM ABU DHABI

Guggenheim Abu Dhabi will serve as a dynamic new platform for modern and contemporary art in the UAE. The architecture of the museum is designed by Frank Gehry and is set to become a central attraction on Al Saadiyat Island, Abu Dhabi. Currently, under construction, the museum will showcase the global history of art from the 1960s onwards with special attention given to Middle Eastern art.

It will be a while before Guggenheim Abu Dhabi opens its gates for the public. But it will certainly be worth the wait!

Designed by Norman Foster and named after the country's founding father Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the museum is due to open in 2023. The Guggenheim Abu Dhabi and rest of the growing Saadiyat cultural district will follow, Al Mubarak says, by the end of 2025.
